Aortic valve reimplantation (the so-called David operation) is still a time proven solution for root aneurysm in connective tissue disease. Like in any form of valve preserving surgery, the preserved aortic valve must have normal or near-normal form and adequate commissural height. This video demonstrates our way of doing a reimplantation procedure, focusing on best preservation of valve geometry and including cusp repair as needed.
